Ashley, the kids, and I have been so encouraged by our new family here. We are looking forward to seeing how much we can grow with y’all! We have been looking forward to settling in and getting to know each of you. If you need anything, just let us know! My office door is always open, my phone close at hand, and keys next to the door.
I spent a lot of time with my Dad, especially in the summers. We would go all over and do all kinds of things for people. We would mow yards, change ceiling fans, wire lights, fix plumbing, and hang out with the old men. Every day was an untold adventure for a young boy. I don’t remember dreading the work. I just remember all of the lessons I learned, funny stories, and people I met. I used to ask what we were doing, or He would just stand up and say, “Well, we got places to go and people to see.” I suppose, since then, I have been waking up every day with the attitude that I got places to go and people to see. When I became a Christian, that phrase came with a goal. I have lived it every day. I got places to go and people to see so I can give them the Word. Since then, I have met incredible people and have been to unimaginable places.
That wonderful journey has led me to y’all! I am thankful for that.
Well, Maysville, it’s time to get this train moving! Let’s get this party started and rubber on the road. The fields are white, and we are the laborers. As my Dad used to say, “You’re burning daylight. We got places to go and people to see.” That we do! Maysville, let’s see where we can go and who we can see.
